If you've always wanted to play in jazz band, you now have the opportunity right here at the Mike Risko Music School. All instruments and voice are welcome to join this exciting class. There are classes available for adults and kids. Through learning standard jazz tunes, students get to play with other musicians, read chord chards and read music. They learn interesting chord voicings and perform with their band at the end of the session at a local "jazz club". Additionally, this class teaches students the vocabulary of jazz. Whether you are an adult or a teenager, you will love the smooth sounds you get to create with your band as you play tunes like Spain by Chick Corea and Nardis by Miles Davis.
