The Mike Risko Music School is staffed with talented, professional musicians. They come from all different educational backgrounds like Berklee, Purchase, NYU, Mannes, Boston Conservatory of Music and Ithaca college, to name a few. They travel to us from all over Westchester and New York City. In addition to being great musicians, they are also teachers and really enjoy being able to communicate music to students. They are versed in many different styles of and music perform on many different levels.
We meet frequently with our teachers to discuss teaching methods and curriculum. Our instructors teach fundamentals of music but they also make sure to treat each student as an individual with their own unique strengths. In creating a musician, you must nurture their individual talent. It is important to create attainable goals for each student so they can excel. We make sure that each and every student is given that attention and that opportunity.
In addition, we have a friendly and helpful administrative staff that is always available to help all our students.
