Mike Risko Music curates the live music for the Ossining NY summer concert series. On this Independence Day celebration, the biggest night of the summer series, the singer who was to sing the Star Spangled Banner bailed. 

I received the phone around 4pm with the news and we had to find someone in a hurry. After a few failed phone calls I decided I would do it myself. I had about an hour to come up with an arrangement and it had to be over the top.

It was a bit stressful but felt really good when I got through it. Push yourself and get out of your comfort zone.
